This 3-hour intensive will help you with the preparation and mental strength necessary to succeed in this dance as a competitor. It will give you tools that top athletes and dancers use to be a good competitor; both to manage success and defeat.
Part 1: Preparing for Competition Strategies that will help you prepare for competitions and exercises that all wcs dancers should have in their toolbox.
Part Two: On the dance floorKeep your eyes on the price no matter what happens. Mental strategies to stay calm and in control; for example, how not to enter a negative spiral after a bad preliminary dance. Stuff to perform better in both JnJ and Strictly.
Part Three: After Dancing Often the most difficult part of the competition is to hear the result. Sonya will give you ways to manage your emotions and learn from your results! You will receive tools that will help you take the positive out of your competitions, regardless of the placements. This intensive will be mainly a mental and a little physical learning. It is aimed at dancers of all levels and will teach in both French and English.

PART 2: On The Floor Get your head in the game and keep it there, no matter what happens. Mental strategies for staying calm and in control, whatever the circumstances are. Avoid a spiral after a bad prelim dance, and more. Plus, tips on performance and how it relates to a J&J and Strictly Swing contest.
PART 3: After You Dance Often the toughest part of any competition, learning how you have done. Sonya will provide strategies for managing your emotions and crucially, learning from your results! How to take away great learning opportunities from any competition, no matter where you placed. This Intensive will be mainly brain learning, rather than physical learning. The intensive will be taught in both French and English. Open to all levels of dancer.
